About the role

The Director of Digital Operations - Innovation & Technology role will lead our organization in innovation across site and email, will be a primary contact for PdM and GapTech initiatives, and will manage our site operations including after hours support. This is a critical leadership role for the brand orchestrating many different cross-functional teams and competing priorities with the charge to drive growth and a best in class customer experience.

What you'll do

  • Lead innovation and site ops digital production team inclusive of direct reports
  • Own Gap digital innovation roadmap in partnership with central team and Senior Director
    Will have a balance of owning innovation work-streams and overseeing ones owned by team members
  • Primary point of contact for PDM and GapTech to support technology health and lead change management for the brand when feature releases or platform issues occur.
  • Drives results through direct reports as support to cross-functional teams when high severity website and tool issues occur. When needed, works with GapTech, Mission Control, Product Management, and other partners to prioritize defects, facilitate resolution, and communicate updates to leadership.

Who you are

  • Ability to quickly analyze issues, requests, and escalations to determine feasibility, required activities, and the appropriate resource
  • Self-motivated, empathetic and driven. Ability to work well independently and within a group setting to achieve results amidst varied priorities and personalities.
  • You have executive presence with frequent interaction and need to influence cross-functional leadership team.
  • You can get your hands dirty and “do” as well as advise and oversee.
  • You have an inate drive and passion in the work you do and the business you represent.
  • You are available for afterhours support on a rotational basis.
  • Ideally 8-10 years-experience within Digital Operations, eCommerce experience a plus.
