About the role
The Senior Analyst, Company Planning & Marketing Effectiveness supports the achievement of Banana Republic’s plans and forecasts by influencing leaders and cross-functional partners to make smart investments through sound financial analysis, recommendations, and reporting. The Senior Analyst possesses core financial skills and has the ability to evolve processes with long term solutions to accommodate our changing business.
What you'll do
Lead analysis for marketed promotional campaigns to assist in financial goal-setting for Banana Republic Stores & Online. Summarize performance by vehicle and event, maintaining comprehensive recap of event incrementality across all vehicles and levers.
Report out on effectiveness of marketing vehicles and promotional offers to Marketing business partners, Finance partners, and Global Leadership team. Provide decision support for future Marketing events.
Analyze the impact of marketing events and offers through trend/impact analyses that calculate the incremental effect of these events on sales, comp components and margin levers.
Compare performance of marketing events over time to synthesize themes and best practices to inform the BR Leadership Team, Marketing business partners, and company planning teams in future action planning.
Create, compile marketing effectiveness deck to hindsight past promotions and inform recommendations for future decision making.
Forecast and provide quantity forecast for all instore promotional handouts.
Establish a track record of clear communication up, down and across the organization. Be able to influence others. Provide thought leadership and strong financial point of view to business partners.
Lead analysis on customer behavior data. Act as liaison to the central Gap Inc. Customer, Data and Analytics teams to ensure Banana Republic goals are supported as well as our learnings are communicated back.
Partner with the Gap Inc credit card team to review and influence cardholder events and metrics.
Provide ROI analysis of media and promotional investments.
Who you are
Bachelors degree required; MBA a plus
3-5 years of financial and business analysis. Retail planning experience preferred
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail: strong work ethic, follow-through and accountability.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem solving skills
Ability to transform quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations and communicate them in a compelling way
Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly master new applications and systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization
