About the role

Old Navy’s Marketing Effectiveness team is responsible for analyzing the financial impact of the brand’s marketing efforts. The team develops recommendations based on financial analytics and forecasts marketing sales contribution to guide total company sales expectations. Through in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis, the team helps guide ON Leadership to develop the most profitable marketing campaigns, inclusive of discounting and media spend.

The Marketing Effectiveness Senior Analyst is the financial owner of the commercial planning and promotional strategies for Global, Omni Old Navy with a focus on Old Navy Online and Mexico Stores.

What you'll do

  • Develop pre-season and quickly reflow in-season forecasts that maximize sales and margin while clearly communicating risks and opportunities to company forecast.

  • Hindsight business results versus forecast and last year on a daily/monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc basis to develop succinct, actionable go-forward strategies for ON Leadership.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and Inventory Management leaders to develop promotional plans that maximize profitable sales growth through various marketing levers, including daily discounting, today only deals, and flash sales.

  • Partner with Old Navy Card/Loyalty teams to grow customer acquisition and retention through proven, ROI positive incentives.

  • Partner with Media Marketing teams to develop sales forecasts by vehicle, including Performance Media, Email, and Direct-to-Site. Monitor results on a weekly basis to quickly adjust go-forward spend and maximize ROAS.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 2-3 years work experience, preferably with finance or inventorymanagement / retail planning and forecasting experience.

  • Financial and Business Acumen:Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including ability toformulate business strategy and see the bigger picture.

  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality:

    Self-motivated, able to make quick,calculated decisions, follow through with responsibilities and be accountablefor results.

  • Influencing & Negotiation:Able to lead influential conversations with executive management and toarticulate financial concepts to business partners outside of finance in aclear and concise manner.

  • Systems and Tools Acumen:Competency in Microsoft Excel required and ability to learn newapplications quickly. Essbase experience a plus.

  • Collaboration:

    Stronginterpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive and effectiverelationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt work style/processesin a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communicationskills
