About the role

We’re looking for a Staff Analyst for the Electronic Tenders team that can provide key support to the Senior Analyst of the team and help to ensure all electronic tender reconciliation processes happen in a timely and accurate manner. In this role, you will work closesly with the analysts on the team to resolve daily operational issues, complete monthly and ad-hoc reporting and support various projects and company initiatives. You’ll collaborate, influence, and strategize with cross-functional partners to share accurate data that impacts reporting and decision making across multiple lines of business. This role is critical to the success of operating in a continuously changing payments environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiencies, so we’re looking for an individual who is energized by new challenges and obsessed with elevating the everyday to create high levels of performance.

What you'll do

  • Quickly develop a full understanding of the daily processing operations to drive efficiencies and support business initiatives
  • Must have a strong understanding of the underlying accounting behind Electronic Tender processes to be able to support internal and external business partners in ad-hoc reporting and improving processes when needed
  • Serve as the reconciliation software expert for the Electronic Tender’s team which includes an advanced knowledge of how the system works, creating reporting and troubleshooting errors or inefficiencies
  • Support various special projects related to credit cards and debit cards – includes validating test transactions, development of exception research process, reporting and interface to the general ledger
  • Perform month-end duties including but not limited providing data to reporting, general ledger validation, journal entry reconciliation and journal entry creation. This could include hours outside of normal business
  • Perform varied work assignments with limited supervision which involve moderately complex accounting activities

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work effectively under critical deadlines.
  • Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information with little supervision
  • Respond to technical matters; initiate technical problem solving, recommend solutions, and facilitate issues to closure
  • Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions
  • Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners
