About the role
We are searching for a talented Marketing Analytics professional to deliver omni-channel marketing insights for Athleta’s continued growth. This analyst will pioneer a marketing-driven sales model and influence marketing investment strategy across the organization in order to optimize spend against our sales, customer, traffic, and awareness goals.
The ideal candidate for this position thrives in ambiguity, is analytical and comfortable with large data sets from varying sources, and is able to balance scientific accuracy with the decisive ability to draw high level conclusions. You are an excellent communicator who is curious and loves to use data and experimentation to solve business challenges. This person reports into the Manager of Marketing Effectiveness and Media Mix.
What you'll do
Manage data streams and forecasts across all marketing channels. Create both standardized and ad hoc reports and dashboards, aligning with cross-functional partners on KPIs for marketing spend across vehicles, channel, and marketing funnel.
Analyze vehicle performance across customer segments, funnel, time, and channel dimensions to identify patterns and recommend opportunities to maximize media mix.
Develop and forecast a monthly marketing driven sales forecast to influence budget and in-season commercial planning strategy.
Partner with marketing vehicle owners to align on KPI targets to deliver Athleta’s business goals. Influence omni testing strategy and push insight and experimentation to fuel our growth.
Develop integral relationships with the Marketing, Customer Analytics, Data & Analytics, Ecommerce, and Store Operations teams to effectively influence strategies.
Who you are
3+years of marketing data analytics experience, with both online and offline media experience preferred, but not required.
Customer-centric and creative problem solving skills. Technical data-analytics expert with strong visualization skills.
Detail-oriented with ability to balance those details with holistic strategy
Excellent communication/presentation skills that can be adapted to audiences from staff to senior executive level and from varying cross-functional backgrounds.
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
Must be able to effectively manage priorities and flexibly adjust scope, timing, and resources as business needs shift
Organized and structured thinker with strong time and project management skills.
Knowledge of SAS, SPSS, PowerPivot, Excel, SQL and VBA or demonstrated ability to rapidly gain fluency in a comparable context, such as statistical software, computer programming languages, or databases
Experience with Tableau, Power BI or comparable data visualization platforms; creation of metrics reports and dashboard views
