About the role

As the Market Product & Analytics Manager, you are the subject matter expert on your International Market, playing a critical role in identifying product and inventory opportunities, and potential solutions. You work closely with the Territory Leadership and various HQ teams. You are responsible for driving profitable sales growth with localized inventory strategies by analyzing and responding to inventory opportunities. You are responsible for gathering and assessing product feedback, identify potential problems and recommending creative solutions. You provide actionable intelligence on market and competitor insights, consumer behavior.
• You are part of the Territory Leadership Team and a dotted line into the GM of the market.
• You collaborate with cross functional partners on the UF Team, Store Planning and IM/Buying teams to support Territory and Brand initiatives.
• You develop and maintain strong working relationships with key field and HQ business partners understanding their functional challenges and how they impact overall business.
• You influence HQ Inventory Management/Buying teams to ensure the unique needs of your markets are met.
• You influence Field & HQ leaders on strategy and outcomes at the Territory (country) level while operating within the broader context of Old Navy’s brand strategy.
• You act as liaison between Field and HQ with regards to assortment and pre-season inventory strategies and needs.
• Build and execute a process/system to provide robust feedback weekly to HQ and Field Partners regarding the commercial plan. Strategize on necessary (functional) adjustments to maximize sales and impact the business. Inclusive of visual partners, operational partners, store teams.
• Leads competitive benchmarking and ticket price comparisons seasonally to gain market share.
• Attend critical Field and HQ business alignment /strategy meetings to gain insights and alignment on business activities.
• Support the product pipeline pre and post new store openings, identifying potential problems and searching for solutions to guide store teams.
• Consolidate needs of the Territory through frequent regular store visits, providing regular feedback to HQ and Field Leaders to ultimately impact future assortment/topline inventory strategies
• Identify and influence the development of key seasonal and Divisional strategies (ex. Plus, Canadiana, Uniform)
• Consistently evaluates competition and provides learnings in regards to marketing, product, assortment, events and holidays that are unique to the Canadian market.
• Recaps monthly new flow hits + misses, market trends and competitive findings.
• Additional market related projects as developed by the Sr Regional Director of Stores and General Manager.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities with knowledge of retail/financial math and forecasting methodologies
• Ability to synthesis large quantities of quantitative & qualitative data and complex operational processes, think objectively and interpret meaningful themes to develop actionable recommendations
• Willingness to challenge the status quo, create and organize work/process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well as a part of diverse cross-functional teams to create a team mindset.
• Capable of influencing at multiple levels within the organization
• Ability to strategize, understand success and course correct for future initiatives
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• High collaboration with field and HQ counterparts to evaluate and define complex inventory management decisions
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• 3 years of Inventory Management experience, particularly in the micromanagement of stores, with demonstrated expertise in allocation systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of applicable Gap Inc. allocation and analysis systems desirable
• Proficient in NOVA, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
• Ability to travel to Old Navy stores throughout the Territory and San Francisco including overnight as
