Meet Jeseca Gibson, GM at our Old Navy Outlet in St. Augustine, Florida - one of the most passionate employees around and a leader who shows her love of the brand through her passion for our fashion. Even though she’s been with the brand for 8 years, she still gets excited every month to see the latest Style Guide so she can start scoping out the latest trends. But she doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk (or shops the shop!), with more than 74 pairs of Rockstar jeans in her closet!

YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR ROLE: That’s a tough question because there are so many parts that I love! I have the opportunity to teach, inspire, and develop my team. The best part is being surrounded by an awesome group of people that I learn from every day.
YOUR FAVORITE OLD NAVY ITEM: Definitely Rockstars! My obsession began back in 2013 when I bought my first pair, and it only grew from there! Rockstars make me feel good – the fit, the shape, the washes, the detail! Who doesn’t want a pair of jeans that just make your booty look great? I currently own 74 pairs – I consider myself to be a loyalist.
YOUR LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY: Culture is everything. My dad is a college basketball coach and I have seen firsthand how recognition and expressing appreciation goes a long way in building a team. When everyone leads – no matter their position or level – the team becomes stronger, but it’s up to you as a leader to set the tone and example to start to create that culture.
ADVICE FOR OTHER LEADERS OF TEAMS: Throughout my career I always wanted things to happen quickly, but I soon realized that success doesn’t happen overnight. Believe, follow and invest in your process. Create partnerships with people you can count on and who you can grow from and you will get there when the time is right.
WHAT MAKES YOU #OLDNAVYPROUD: I have a career where I am encouraged to bring the fun to my team and my customers each and every day, and I have grown so much as a leader and as a woman. Our clothes are stylish, but most importantly, they bring confidence to everyone who wears them. It makes me so proud to be part of making our customers look and feel great!
