Gap Inc. Scores A- on Climate & Water

Gap Inc. has earned two A- scores from CDP for acting with transparency to protect the climate and use water responsibly for the health of future generations to come. For two decades, CDP has run the global environmental disclosure system, supporting thousands of companies, cities, states and regions to measure and manage their risks and opportunities on climate change. This annual ranking, putting Gap Inc. in the leadership categories for climate change and water, is a recognition of our demonstrated action to mitigate the risks associated with contributing to damage to the planet. This is our 9th consecutive year to participate in the CDP ranking. 

As a leading, global apparel company, we rely on a world where people and the environment thrive. Here are 3 ways we’re taking action to ensure safe and healthy communities:  

• We’re making better design decisions and partnering with our suppliers to conserve water, and we have a goal of reaching 10 billion liters saved in 2020. 
• We’re ramping up our renewable energy use and have a goal to achieve 100% renewable energy across our globally owned and operated facilities by 2030.   
• We announced a Science Based Target to reduce carbon emissions.
