About the role
Manager, System Analytics and Testing will lead, analyze, and interpret results of test vs. control process for Old Navy stores. Manager will also lead, in partnership with Sr Analyst, Pre-season configurations for all markets and channels in Old Navy. Both areas require partnership and communication with leadership and functional teams ranging from individual contributor to Senior Vice President.
Test and Control
•Use expertise in Test & Control process to determine best analytic approach for each test, including – but not limited to - APT testing tool.
•Interpret qualitative and quantitative test results in a focused, understandable way.
•Incorporate strategic intent of test within content and clearly link project milestones to the strategy.
•Comfortable with full ownership of managing, analyzing, and presenting findings on Test & Control process
•Leverage Brand Goals to filter and prioritize test requests
•Leads implementation of analytical inputs into Buy Planning and Allocation tools, including partnership with inventory management and technical teams.
•Conducts analysis and creates plans that support the development of pre-season assortment strategies, financial plans, and style level investments.
•Connects inventory management and assortment strategies to systematic “smart starts”
•Manage calendar to complete seasonal work on time for system readiness
•Ensure maintenance of internal tools in support of pre-season planning configurations.
•Lead semi-annual clustering process for sizing, including sustainability of process.
•Partner with Gap Inc functions to represent Brand approach to analytics.
•Models strong time management by delivering project milestones on time
•Lead continuous improvement in process accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability.
•As needed, help with Ad Hoc analysis or projects
•Supports Director of IM in both current business activities as well as strategic initiatives
•Support career development and skill development of direct report to ensure job satisfaction, retention and future talent development.
Who you are
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
•2-4 years of experience in inventory management (or equivalent)
•2 years of supervisory experience, preferred
•Strong analytical skills, with ability to formulate data based strategies
•Ability to gather, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data
•Strong attention to detail, highly organized, effective time management
•Ability to effectively present and communicate with peers and leadership.
•Build constructive, effective relationships with a broad group of business partners
•Knowledge of inventory optimization concepts and principles
•Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude with experience in a non-academic environment.
•Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment.
•Ability to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.
•Strong excel skills and the ability to learn other tools/software as needed (Access, Essbase, Microstrategy, etc)
