About the role

We’re looking for a Sr. Analyst to play a key role on our corporate finance team. In this role you’ll work with partners across the organization and will have a unique opportunity to work with financials for all of our brands, gaining an understanding of how the full Gap Inc portfolio is managed. You will support executive decision making and communication to the board of directors. This role is focused on forward-looking projections and offers the opportunity to impact all three financial statements across all brands and functions in the Gap Inc. portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Prepare monthly financial reports to Gap Inc. management, ensuring reports are accurate and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparation of presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
  • Present components of the forecast overview in FP&A leadership reviews
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget and prior year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain Essbase database containing actual, forecast and budget data to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Serve as FP&A liason for Investor Relations team, managing the earnings guidance scenario modeling including executive presentation, Q&A support, and ad hoc analysis
  • Identify areas for improvement/efficiency across the finance org, participating in process redesign events and participating in system improvement project team
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree; a plus if in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 2-4 years of related business experience
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with various management levels
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and processes independently
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills, Hyperion Essbase experience a plus
