About the role

The fit model is responsible for representing the Brand’s Physical Fit – target customer for body measurements, shape, proportion and composure. The model will fit garments at all major milestone meetings, production fittings, all size fittings, and showroom presentations as required and provide feedback on fit and comfort to meet the Brand customer expectation.

This position requires the ability to spend most of the time standing while modeling clothing/accessories in the evaluation of aesthetic fit, technical fit and/or being active in testing the functional fit of garments/accessories during prototyping stages. The Fit Model is required to have excellent people skills, communication skills and be able articulate how garments fit, feel, and perform.

  • Waist(Natural) 28 1/4”
  • Low Hip (8”from Natural Waist) 38”
  • (Actual body measurements should be no morethan +/- ¼” from the above specification besides total height that can be within1” range max. Model to be measured monthly and scanned as required)
  • Have an elevated sense of style and aestheticwith a continual pulse on current and relevant market trends and emergingtechnology.

  • Maintain physical fit – key body measurements,size, shape, proportions, and composure representing the target body identifiedby the brand to ensure fit consistency within the brand.

  • Model clothing/accessories in front of largegroup of people.

  • Identify and elevate potential customer concernsas they relate to ease and comfort of technical/functional fit, provideconsistent and effective feedback during fit sessions.

  • Support research and participate in competitive fitdeep-dive projects to maintain fit, sizing and construction relevant to themarketplace.

  • Participate in full size fitting as assigned –may include cross brand fittings upon request.

  • Participate in wear testing as assigned.

  • Work with business partners on scheduling andprioritization of fits and wear tests in conjunction with product developmentcalendar and business deliverables.

  • Works with Modeling agencies to arrange go-seesand book model as needed.

  • Identify and proactively engage supervisor whenissues arise.

  • Attends presentations, line reviews and otherBrand meetings as requested.

  • Participate in store visits as assigned.

  • May require body scanning for block development.

  • May include domestic & international travel.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

Works in partnership with Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Production, Marketing, Int’l hub offices and Vendors.

Minimum experience

College education preferred

Modeling experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to maintain body measurements, shape and proportion.

  • Ability to stand and meet other physical requirements for extended periods.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate fit feedback in a simple way.

    Superior interpersonal skills – works well as part of a cross-functional team and able to interface regularly with all levels of the organization including senior/executive leadership team.

  • Proficient computer skills on email systems i.e. – MS Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite – MS Excel, MS Word and Powerpoint.
