About the role

The Senior Manager of Styling will create, direct and execute the overall styling point of view for the Banana Republic Factory channel incorporating new & emerging trends that keeps us relevant in the competitive market place. This role reports to the Director of Visual Merchandising.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for overseeing & executing all seasonal styling needs and projects for marketing, online and brick & mortar businesses. Consistenly manages multiple projects and timelines concurrently throughout each season styling out for marketing campaigns, online editorial stories, emails, social media advertising, windows and in-stores.

  • Establishes high levels of communication and collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure seasonal styling supports key business strategies aligned on by the brand.

  • Maintains high level of knowledge and awareness of fashion industry, current fashion & retail market landscape. Maintains a clear understanding of the brand’s overall aesthetic while displaying the ability to incorporate new ideas that push us forward.

  • Maintains a clear understanding of brand’s overall aesthetic, seasonal product priorities and current state of business in order to shift quickly and tailor work to support the needs of the business.

  • Participates in all seasonal marketing campaign shoots taking the lead on on-set/on-figure styling.

  • Leads seasonal styling walkthroughs with the leadership team to gain approval and alignment prior to marketing campaign shoots.

  • Communicates styling priorities and strategies to the field through visual merchandising tools and resources including the Visual Presentaton Guide and the Seasonal Style Guide.

Who you are

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion styling.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience leading a team of stylists.

  • Ability to balance creative with strategic deliverables.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to form effective partnerships across cross-functional teams - Design, Merchandising, Creative, Visual.

  • Extremely flexible, detail oriented, organized and self motivated.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Strong work ethic, and deep interest in professional integrity.
