About the role

The strategy and operations function within I + O partners closelywith each market to support strategic decision making through long-termplanning efforts, pricing optimization, new growth initiatives, processimprovement and democratization of data to shape and guide our pathforward.

Through rigorous analysis,focus on the competition and customer, creative thinking and deep partnership,this role supports the market leaders in making the best decisions for thebusiness.

In addition to developing/evolving Old Navy’s International andOutlet growth strategy this role also helps identify and/or facilitate keyimprovements, opportunities and enablers (systems, tools, processes, linkages)necessary to deliver our growth plans. In order to drive results,this role is responsible for managing multiple work-streams related tomulti-country/multi-channel growth and championing the key initiatives requiredto maximize scalability, speed, and profitability.

In addition, this role provides leadership and businesspartnership by owning the overarching International “project plan”,encompassing key work-streams, dependencies and critical points of integrationwithin the International + Outlet team and the broader Old Navy cross-functionalteam.

This role provides and facilitates proactive communication onproject performance that results in the teams’ ability to identify risks,solutions, contingency plans, and resolutions to meet or exceed the stateddeliverables and targets.

What you'll do

  • Develops a broad perspective and uses that perspective to consult, inform and guide recommendations and solutions that will enable our International + Outlet Growth Strategy and optimize scalability (profit and efficiencies)

  • Immediate emphasis on identifying system tool eeds to enable leverage and scale and providing “thumbnail” cost/benefit risks/analysis to staying with the status quo.

  • Coordinates, prioritizes and manages scope for multi-year/channel/geography International + Outlet project plan.

  • Facilitates proactive communication to the head of International, the Leadership team and other key stakeholders on overall International “project plan” and any risks.

  • Leverages knowledge of key business processes, systems and tools to gather needs, pressure test solution and options and support businesscritical strategy projects including:

    • Price architecture recommendations through competitor benchmarking, consumer insights, internal data analytics and financial modeling
      Creation of Long Range Plans across brands through research, analysis and close collaboration with teams

    • New growth initiative development through the entire lifecycle process of initial vetting and ROI analysis to implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement

    • Process improvement initiatives through analysis of current state and development of recommendations for future improvement

    • Identify new data or analytic capabilities that can support teamsin improved decision making

  • May also be asked toprovide support on executive presentations including content, form and delivery


Who you are

To be effective in this role you must be able to drive strategicplanning and possess strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal,influence, and communication skills.

Minimum Experience:

  • 10+ years or Retail Experience

  • 4+ years Strategy/Consulting experience

  • 4-year college degree; MBA preferred.

  • Experience working or launching a brand internationally highlydesired.

  • Ability to provide advice about both technical and non-technical solutions related to the International and Outlet Strategy and operating model

  • Fosters clear communication and collaboration across teams

  • Ability to influence decisions and select solutions that fulfill project scope and scale limitations/opportunities.

  • Ability to develop a clear, complete understanding of strategy, team/stakeholder needs and challenges through careful listening probing encouraging and summarizing

  • Ability to appropriately balance introduction of new ideas and approaches with the practical requirements of the business

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and leverage relationships to get first-hand information and use it for improvements in products and services,

  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups and win concessions without damaging relationships.

  • Ability to effectively cope with change and to comfortably shift gears and handle risk and uncertainty.

  • Ability to orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal.

  • Experience in tools, practices and industry in working with and supporting teams with strong inventory and financial practice
