About the role
In this role, you will manage the long range plan, monthly close and forecast processes, as well as the annual budget process for the Global Franchise division. You will have the opportunity to partner with the leadership team in support of the business that operates franchisees for Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy stores throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
This position will be accountable for financial visibility to leadership, the management and reporting of financial goals inclusive of financial accounting and will drive implementation and change management of financial and operational processes across the organization. What you'll do
Manage monthly financial close process, deliver accurate financial results, including comprehensive analysis of key expense and balance sheet items
Communicate processes and timelines to business and finance partners and ensuring timelines are met; understanding all P&L line items, drivers of financial performance and communicating results and issues to management
Prepare financial statements and presentations for Global Franchise management that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made; and ensuring reports are accurate and distributed in a timely manner
Work with Franchise Leadership to understand performance measures, drivers of efficiencies and opportunities
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
Evaluate current processes and tools to drive efficiencies and value added enhancements
Provide ad hoc analytical support to influence decision making with financial perspective
Who you are
6 to 8 years of business experience in Finance, Accounting or related field, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
Bachelor’s degree (MBA/CPA a plus) in Finance, Accounting or related field; Strong Oracle and MS Office skills
Proven ability to manage and develop a team
Proven analytical ability and creative problem solving skills
Proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various management levels
Proven ability to manage systemic implementation and business process transition, from initial situational analysis through post implementation support
Proven experience budgeting, planning, forecasting, closing and reconciling operating and balance sheet accounts
