About the role

The OIS team provides Purchase Order sizing, packing, and reconciliation support in service to the Digital Merchandising (DM) team. They own the post PO creation size and pack process and work collaboratively with their DM teams in helping to identify issues with PO’s and facilitate communication between digital merch and production so a resolution can be reached. They also own the execution of Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Merchandise Performance reports that summarize results and inform business decisions for the brand.

What you'll do

  • Sizing and Packing Post PO creation, including calling out errors (e.g. size mapping, system quantity reconciliation) and working with DM’s to resolve issues during S/P process for seasonal Buy Process, Monthly Bookings, and Rapid Response Re-orders. Manual S/P is required for all SB/Basic re-orders.
  • Monthly Receipt Reconciliation to pass off to DM team. Monthly Reconciliation is inclusive of a standardized report and in-person meeting to explain variances including receipt shifts and drops
  • Adhoc Retail Style maintenance for styles changing season code in season
  • Adhoc PO maintenance as necessary (ie Dummy PO’s, PO activation/deactivation, etc)
  • Daily/Weekly report creation (Daily Demand/ NDGM/ Promo Toll)
  • Monthly style Merchandise Performance report (“Monthly Financials”)
  • Quarterly Hindsight/Midsight Style Performance report

Who you are

Attention to Detail: The OIS’s main responsibility is to execute the sizing and packing strategies that are set by the DM team. Accuracy is critical in this work as it directly impacts the product that is available to our customer. The other key responsibility is monthly PO reconciliation. The information passed off by the team directly informs the monthly OTB process and informs each teams’ monthly forecast and how much inventory they need to sell through. The reconciliation process also helps determine our need to chase to cut receipts in the future so we need to have an accurate picture of past and future receipts.

Timeliness: OIS must be mindful of deadlines and be able to navigate different deliverables while working with their DM counterparts on shifting priorities. The work handed off by the OIS team is time sensitive (completed PO’s are sent to vendor, PO reconciliation informs OTB) and is needed by other team members to complete their work.
Communication: OIS must be able to articulate clearly and concisely the issues that have been identified to the right cross functional business partner. They must also be comfortable asking for clear communication back once issues have been resolved and what the next steps are if there is not a thorough follow up.
Business Acumen: OIS should have a grounded knowledge of the business unit they are a part of. This understanding will highlights the sense of urgency around the work that they do and how it impacts the business decisions being made. It will also provide insight into their future work as they can work with their DM teams to understand how these business decisions impact their priorities and timelines.
