About the role
The Treasury department at Gap Inc. is responsible for developing and executing optimal liquidity, financing and capital structure strategies for the Company. This position supports the Domestic Treasury team and reports to Director of Finance, Treasury. This role has a unique and broad view into the company’s global operations, providing extensive hands on experience supporting Gap Inc.’s cash management function. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, banking operations, treasury operations, liquidity management, and cash forecasting. This position will also help lead active investments in our over $1 billion cash portfolio and support the Treasury team on capital structure decisions. An ideal candidate would enjoy increased treasury exposure, following economic news and financial markets as well as have a keen interest in corporate cash news and trends.
What you'll do
Manage Gap Inc.’s cash position and invest Gap’s $1.0+ billion cash portfolio; oversee weekly reporting and investment policy compliance
Assist in financial modeling and benchmarking best practices
Responsible for monitoring company-wide cash levels daily and evaluate potential investment opportunities
Execute wire payments as needed
Assist in execution of Gap’s share repurchase program and share count forecast.
Analyze rating agency financial metrics, reviews publications and provide support with presentation materials
Lead WACC calculations and analysis at both the Gap, Inc and brand levels
Who you are
3-5 years work experience in accounting, treasury, finance or related field
Bachelor’s degree required with a strong preference for degrees in accounting, finance or related field
Treasury management workstation experience preferred, ideally Kyriba
Strong attention to detail and a sense of accountability and ownership
Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deliverables and drive to completion
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly explain treasury transactions to multiple business partners (including international teams)
Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Candidate should a sophisticated user of Excel.
