About the role

We are looking for an experienced manager to support all activities related to domestic income tax compliance. The Manager, Domestic Tax will report to the Director, Tax Compliance and will be a part of the team that is responsible for federal, state and local income and franchise tax compliance.

What you'll do

  • Play a key role in managing the preparation and filing of U.S. federal and state tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments and tax return extension requests
  • Prepare and review permanent and temporary book/tax differences supporting federal taxable income and federal/state adjustments for state taxable income
  • Manage preparation of state apportionment schedules
  • Track and analyze legislative changes, identify those relevant to the business, and effectively communicate implications to management
  • Support tax planning, corporate initiatives, and a wide range of interesting tax projects
  • Implement and maintain new and existing technologies within the tax function
  • Analyze compliance processes and develop recommendations for efficiencies and improvements

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax, with a CPA or Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of federal and state income tax compliance experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporate tax department
  • Solid federal and state corporate income tax knowledge and research skills
  • Thorough understanding of the tax compliance process and experience in preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with tax department members, internal business partners, and outside tax advisors
  • Experience with CorpTax is highly desirable
  • Understanding of tax audits, including best practices in preparation of workpapers and supporting documentation
