About the role
The Business Analyst supports projects within the OS team to ensure we deliver the optimal processes and technology solutions for Corporate Shared Services Center (CSSC), Tax, Audit, HR, and Corporate Controllers Group. The Business Analyst is responsible for leveraging technical expertise, business acumen, and innovative ideas to drive results and return value to the business. The role is the bridge between the Process Support and Technology teams to coordinate and develop strong cross-functional partnerships to influence and nurture collaborative work.
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions, identify user needs and translate them into technical requirements. Document technical objectives, requirements and proposed solution to meet business needs.
Develop detailed technical project schedules to be integrated into the overall project plan, including release schedules and testing. In addition, will work to resolve schedule and resource conflicts.
Provide consultation and recommendations on complex technical projects including process redesign and automation technologies to ensure optimal solution.
Through collaboration and influence with the functional groups and OS, reviews and evaluates technical solutions.
Keeps OS business partners informed of project progress, changes to timelines and resource constraints. collaborates with organization members to understand current projects and their interaction with other projects and support.
Strives for clarity and results in ambiguous situations where creativity, diligence and additional research is required. Provide innovative technical suggestions for proposed solutions using business knowledge and operational expertise to optimize solutions.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including ability to formulate solutions to technical problems.
Who you are
Strong knowledge of business technologies such as relational databases and customized user applications.
Proven experience delivering solutions via existing Software Development Life Cycle methodology.
Intermediate to Expert knowledge of computer applications; ex; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and automation solutions.
BS/BA Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or experience
A minimum of 7 years-experience in a technical field or business analysis technology implementation.
Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts, Microsoft Access and SQL experience strongly preferred. Proven experience with working in an agile development environment.
A history of leading and supporting successful technical projects.
