About the role

The Assistant Producer is responsible for planning and execution of Ecommerce photo shoot production. This role manages the scheduling of shoots and booking of in house and freelance talent. This role partners closely with the Product Coordinator to monitor the movement, tracking, and prioritization of all product merchandise.

What you'll do

  • Maintain strong communication with Sample Management team to ensure scheduling related to ecommerce merchandise volume traffic to ensure shoots by demand are met within available resources and prioritized appropriately.
  • Manage available resources, optimizing schedule and talent usage to minimize impact on cost whenever possible
  • Schedule in-house and freelance talent as required, manages call outs/backfilling as needed
  • Ensure catering is ordered and within budget allowance
  • Manage dozens of vendor relationships including contract negotiations
  • Develop detailed call sheet information including schedules, shot intinararies, call times etc to ensure smooth flow of information
  • Establish and grow the brand’s relationships with new talent by arranging regular castings and portfolio reviews with support and guidance from Producer
  • Research new talent and resources including Photographers, Models, Hair & Make-up artists, Videographers, Retouching services, locations etc
  • Source talent, manage bookings, negotiate usage and costs within tight budget constraints and constantly changing overall production and shoot schedules
  • Collaborate with all Studio and Sample teams, photo shoot talent, Producer and Director of Creative Production & Studio Ops
  • Organise EQ and delivery contracts for ecommerce shoots
  • Manage, meet or ideally come under all production budgets
  • Track all budget spends accurately within appropriate documentation
  • During times of peak production demands, assist the Product Coordinator in receiving and properly checking in merchandise into the system and help with completion of weekly merchandise sendbacks

Who you are

  • 1-2 years of ecommerce studio production, planning/scheduling, and negotiating
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong collaboration and organization skills
  • Sense of urgency in deadline driven environment
  • Flexibility to counter changing day to day workload
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and drive processes
  • Motivation, decisiveness, organizational skills are a must
  • Merchandise coordinator experience is a plus
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work well to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment

  • College degree preferred
