About the role

Understands inbound & distribution center operations and how they impact financial statements. Identifies and recommends on-going opportunities for improvement and changes across departments.

Responsible for the in-transit month end close process, including journal entries and variance analysis

Completes monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

Proactively evaluates and helps ensure financial and data integrity across the supply chain pipeline

Reviews and analyzes Warehouse Inventory Adjustment (WIA) transactions, identifying trends & investigating operational drivers

Provides and promotes link between operational activity and financial impacts

Ensures existing Sox and operational controls are executed; identifies control gaps/improvements and drives implementation

Reconciles and analyzes transactional flow with upstream systems, driving resolution of issues

Partners with adjacent process and system teams to ensure proper hand-off accuracy and integrity

Maintains and leverages relationships with business partners

Works with IT to drive systemic issue resolution, root cause analysis, and fix implementation

Assists with ad hoc analysis; presents conclusions and recommendations to senior management

Provides support and problem resolution for escalated issues

Who you are

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Strong knowledge of accounting, including a competent understanding of Balance Sheet/P&L accounts

Strong analytical skills and having the ability to manage the end to end process, and proven problem solving skills to achieve results and goals with little direction

Apt to take ownership, initiate and drive results

Takes responsibility for, and engages manager in managing career growth and skills development

Strong verbal and written communication skills and being able to communicate effectively and persuasively with all levels of the organization

Demonstrated understanding of financial controls, risks and mitigation preferred

Develop strong partnerships and influence people

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Work collaboratively within a team environment

Time management and prioritization skills

Intermediate Excel, basic Access
2) Minimum educational level:

Bachelor’s degree in a business related field; MBA a plus
3) Experience:

5+ years business experience

Previous experience in Finance; retail is a plus
4) Physical Requirements:

Minimal travel required
