The Distributed Order Management team is responsible for processing all the orders placed by our customers, and routing them to the appropriate fulfillment locations determined based on a defined set of algorithms.

What you'll do

  • Write code to build products according to business needs
  • Conduct code & design reviews with other team members
  • Review, understand and recommend updates to Gap coding and technical design standards and practices
  • Collaborate with architects in building emerging technologies and application solutions
  • Collaborate with Product Management (PdM) and External Service Providers to ensure SLAs for applications are being set and met
  • Work on enhancement requests from Product Managers
  • Design, lead facilitation and team-mobilization, kick-off, planning, problem-solving sessions
  • Mentor Level I and II Software Engineers
  • Research and recommend alternative actions for problem resolution

Who you are

 
  • 8+ years or software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, and/or related experience 
  • Experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot; microservice architecture; Messaging MQ, Kafka, Rabbit MQ; Database - SQL, NoSQL; Cloud solutions - Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Azure PaaS; API development 
  • Proficient with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD
  • Ability to design and code medium-to-high complexity business problems 
  • Demonstrates proficient understanding of business processes across a multiple-brand business 
  • Recognized as an expert/go-to person for areas of expertise
