Old Navy

Our stores have incredible talent, and that definitely includes Sinue Bermudez! He is the Director of Old Navy’s Mexico City Flagship store. Sinue was recently appointed Mexico's first DVMIT. What’s a DVMIT, you ask? Keep reading to find out, and learn what makes Sinue #oldnavyproud.

YOU'RE A DVMI-WHAT? District Visual Manager in Training. The DVMIT program is a training program for store employees to learn the ropes of Field Visual Merchandising. Participants get to broaden their skillset by leading up to two districts as the main visual support for that area. Currently there are 14 DVMITs – two have been promoted to District Visual Managers and one has become a District Manager!

WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT THE DVMIT PROGRAM: It gives me a new way to leverage my strengths in Visual Merchandising.

WHAT YOU'RE MOST EXCITED TO LEARN: I'm very excited to learn from Denise Cruz, our Regional Visual Manager, who can help me understand a bigger scope of the business and more Visual Merchandising tools! I'm also excited to have a chance to train others and impact stores beyond Madero.

YOUR BIGGEST GOAL FOR 2019: Giving my all during this 6-month training program so that I can permanently assume this position.

YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR TEAM: Working with others, learning, and teaching. I feel great when I see people implementing something I've taught them. My favorite team activity is changing to a new Style Guide!

YOUR TIP TO BE A #GREATBOSS: Every member of the team is equally important and listening to everyone is key.

WHAT MAKES OLD NAVY SPECIAL: People always come first! We're all a family. Since day one, I have received great support. Feeling like part of the family has really helped me develop and grow.

WHAT MAKES YOU #OLDNAVYPROUD: This is my home away from home. When I get here, I leave all my problems behind. I may be crying inside, but once I get to my store and see a familiar customer I've helped before, I immediately feel happy.
