Gap Inc.

June 26, 2018

Looking across the global apparel industry and within our own supply chain, women represent the majority of the sector’s workforce. Yet, relatively few have the opportunity to advance to management positions and many lack access to the education and training they need to support their personal and professional growth. This is something we think about a lot at Gap Inc. and something we’re committed to changing.

It’s one of the reasons that, over 10 years ago, we started P.A.C.E., our education and life skills program for the women who make our clothes. For us, this program embodies our long-standing commitment to equality and opportunity.

It’s also one of the reasons that this year Athleta, Banana Republic and Gap came together to create the first-ever cross-brand marketing initiative for our company, all in effort to talk about the program, why it’s so important to us, and the people it impacts. United around a single purpose, the three brands set out tell the story of P.A.C.E. directly from the women and communities who are a part of it.

The “Raise Every Voice” campaign takes a closer look at what happens after the training lessons end. How do the skills these women learn through P.A.C.E. impact their day-to-day lives? Their families lives? With the help of P.A.C.E., and first and foremost their own ambition, these women build confidence to take action, speak up, and realize their own dreams.

Follow along as Athleta, Banana Republic, and Gap bring these stories to life, help us connect to these incredible women and raise their voices.
